In the initial stages of building our factory, Farm Frites Egypt recognized the crucial nature of cutting edge technology in the manufacturing process. The factory was built with an aim to maximize product quality, reduce production wastes, minimize environmental impacts, and control product safety and hygiene. We built our factory based on infrastructure that prioritizes creativity and challenges innovation; with over 100,000 tons of potato fries produced annually in Egypt.
During the harvesting process, potatoes are delivered directly from the growing fields to ensure fresh delivery of the potatoes. The selection process accurately checks for size, defects, and natural sugars before being transported and stored into the factory. Following a cleansing process, there is thorough pre-inspection process settled to remove any defects from whole potatoes; any stem or foreign materials are removed. In order to select the accurate sized potatoes, vibrating graders and cutting machines are used to remove small sized potatoes, and cut defected parts. The last selection process occurs after freezing the potatoes, where grader screens are used to remove all units that do not meet quality requirements.
