Farm Frites was established in Egypt in 1988 as a joint venture between Farm Frites Holland and Kuwait Food Company – known as Americana. The Farm Frites plant in Egypt is one of the largest Farm Frites plants in the world, presenting the biggest potato farming operation in the Middle East and Africa thanks to the combination of our innovative technology and the unyielding commitment of our team to achieve quality excellence. The company brings together its international expertise with the rural and cultural values of Egypt.

Our History
1968
The idea was born when Gerrit de Bruijne visited America for a study trip where he found the increasing popularity of the potato products such as chips and fries
Foundation of Farm Frites by Gerrit de Bruijne in South Holland where he started making pre-cooked fries on his own farm
1971
1975
First production line in the Netherlands, everything was made by hand from peeling the potatoes to the frying stage
First expansion outside of the Netherlands. Farm Frites purchased a Belgian production site in Lommel where fries were already very popular
1984
